Dreaming of them 9pm sunsets, that whiff of BBq‘s and that summer heat - yes we are too. Especially with all this rain after rain after rain AFTER RAIN, so in this post - we‘re gonna get you excited for the Summer 2020 Outdoor Cinema Experience.... or not in our case, no wait well we are but we’re not, no we are...ahhhhhh
Ok so why are we having mixed feelings? It is because we really thought we would get a our hands on and to show TOP GUN 2 on the big screen, but now that’s coming out late summer at your local VUE, we wont be able to get the license until 10-12weeks after it hits the UK cinema market *sad face*. That means, 1) we have to wait to see maverick and his cool cheesy lines and 2) there is no film out this year that is going to smash the outdoor cinema market.
Last year, the blockbuster smash was Bohemian Rhapsody, the year before was The Greatest Showman. This year, our events are live and our polls show that this year - there is no top runner.
Different Outdoor Cinemas are doing totally different things from Downton Abbey to Le Mans 66. Our own polls are showing us that again there is not 1 that stands out. We are showing Grease, Dirty Dancing, The Greatest Showman, Bohemian Rhapsody, The Rocky Horror, Harry Potter, The Greenmile, even a Bollywood.
Basically what we’re saying is that if you're going to an Open Air Cinema this summer, make sure it’s ours (firstly) and then make sure you prepare yourself for some vast choices, you're gonna have so much choice.
